On January 24th, we celebrate Change A Pet’s Life Day. This special day is for encouraging people to adopt pets from shelters/ rescue groups and raise awareness about animals in need. There are tons of ways to celebrate and change an animal’s life for the better. Graced Kennel will be hosting a very simple event for the public to come and learn about local rescue groups in our area. There will be information on fostering, adopting, volunteering and donating. You can ask each rescue group what their requirements are and what their missions are. Want to know what to do if you find a stray animal? What does it mean to be a foster or volunteer? All local rescues have different requirements, fees, and protocol they follow but the missions are the same to save unwanted animals and find them a perfect home that loves them the way they deserve to be loved. This event is for humans only. You can view adoptable pets online, or in photos to set up a meet and greet at another time. Donations of all kinds will also be accepted and split among all rescues participating in this event. There will be a movie playing on the big screen outside, bring your own blanket and fold out chair.
